Beat That Déjà vu Feeling | February 2, 2012

Feeling like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day? With today being Groundhog Day, we try to beat down the winter blues, but all I can think of is the classic movie where Murray repeats the same day over and over.

This is the same feeling many people have when they walk into builder’s communities and model homes.  They all look the same.  Well, that’s because they are the same.  When it comes to most builders, you have a limited number of plans to choose.  If you are lucky, you can do a little tweak here and there.

If you are tired of that Déjà vu feeling, it’s time to look at a custom home builder in Tampa and St. Petersburg.  When you build a custom home, you can start your home design completely from scratch, which some people choose to do.  Other custom home designs will take inspiration from many homes and plans.  You may see a couple of homes in your neighborhood that you really like components of the exterior.  There may be a kitchen layout in another home and a master suite design from yet another.  A custom home allows you to take all of the best features you love and combine them into a home design that is unique to what you want – a custom home for you and  your family.

As much as I love the movie Groundhog Day (and below is a compilation of one of my favorite scenes), I am far more passionate about designing and building homes.  So if you are tired of that Déjà vu feeling, contact us to discuss how a custom home may be the solution to your home search blues.
